Fall and Winter Fashion

I’ve been watching far to many fashion shows lately, and have decided to kindly share my findings :-P! Quite frankly, fall and winter fashion is my favourite kind of fashion. Though this years fashion has been reviewed as ‘bland’, ‘dingy’ and ‘predictable’ but I find it absolutely adorable! Yes it isn’t that much of a change from last year, but that just means we can have a bigger wardrobe this year. Anyway, let’s stay away from all the critics doom and gloom and talk some fashion.

-Our usual neutrals are back in! Browns, shades of grey, winter White ect.

-Hues of gold! I love hues of gold and they look really nice and wintery.

-pastels! Light silvery blue and peachy pink!

-Embellishment. Gold embellishment is gonna be big, lots of embellished Peter pan tops.

-Sheath style dresses. They really bring in your waste and are super classy and cute.

The 7 things to do before your holidays..!

Holidays are there to relax and unwind, however school or the pool you’ll always be stressing about something?

So how do you really relax and unwind while your dad is acting his usual embarrassing self, your sister is chatting up all the boys and your mum is constantly trying to make you ‘cheese’ for a photo?

ALL YOU NEED IS SOME CONFIDENCE! If you have confidence you’ll be laughing at your Dad’s embarrassment, chatting up the boys with your sister and cheesing your tanned (or burned) little face off for all your Mum’s photos!

So how do I get this confidence? Well you just need to take these 7 steps to create an instant holiday calm…

1. Shave wax or use hair removal creams for those hairy legs, then give them that last touch or colour! -Over the winter we forget about those things that hold us up and just let them get completely out of control, so there’s no doubt that you need some hair remove PRONTO! And, judging on the fact that your luscious legs have been hidden away in trousers and swepts they are probs pretty pale, and it’s great if your fine with that, but if your like me, you want perfectly tan legs! BUT BEWARE!!!!!  Self Tanners are seriously dangerous, one false stroke and your legs could end up looking like candy canes, so always have a few testers of your fake tan a month or two before your holiday. This will insure you know how to use the product.

RECOMMENDED PRODUCTS!

For Shaving -The Venus Spa Shavers are all really good, I got one that came with a shower tray and 2 shaver heads. The shavers smelled really good, (yes I smelled it) this was because it has 2 big bits of soap like shaving gel. So when you shave in the shower or bath you dont need to use shaving cream, this also prevented me getting any ingrown hairs!

For Tanning -Tanning is tricky and I am AWFUL at it, but any moisturizer with a built in tan has always worked for me as its not too dark so it still looks natural and it doesn’t dry out your skin.

2. Feel really good about yourself by eating healthy and exercising! -I always feel the worst about myself on those pig-like days when I sit infront of the tv and snack on crap all night! You can’t afford to have one of these days on the lead up to your holidays or else it will through you into a state of complete body depression (when you can only think of how ‘ugly’ or ‘fat’ you are when really you were just feeling a little hungry). A week before the holidays I will cut out most of the fat and do a healthy cleanse! NOT A DIET! Diets can make you feel kinda sick since you are cutting out like half your food intake. So still eat when you are hungry but just eat really healthy foods. Focus on eating more fruit, veg and fish! Now your eating healthy you’ll naturally have more energy and want to be more active, but since it’s a week before your holiday you will probs be really busy! So 3 times a day I try to fit in 100 sit ups. This can take 3 mins to 10 mins depending on how fit  you are, but basically its not long and once you get past the first few days of sit ups they will be much easier. Now I’m not saying this is going to completely tone your tummy but doing 300 sit-ups a day is going to help much more than you expect. Sit ups don’t really burn calories but they build muscle to give you a good swimsuit body! The important thing to remember is that no matter what shape or size you are you are beautiful (and I’m not being cheesy here) the only reason you are exercising is to release feel good hormones (yes, that is what exercise does as well as make you thinner). By doing that routine we are not trying to loose weight!

3.Pamper yourself!!! SERIOSLY! -I love a good zingy facemask and a frozen cold ice bath! Do whatever beauty treatments you like and do one every night until your holiday. This not only makes you feel really REALLY good but it also makes you look good. How? Well my little angle faces, when we are happy our skin has more or a glow, our step has more of a spring and our eyes are more intense! I always make sure I have at least £20 to spend on my fave spa at home products, because remember, I’m not talking about going to a spa and getting a full body massage (I mean if you have the money to do that GREAT! But I dont :P) I mean buy facepacks, footspa’s hair oils ect!

4. Get your hair done, your nails done and that tash removed! -By this time in summer my hair is dry and drab due to dodgy die jobs, so a trip to the salon is just what I need. So whether you are just getting a conditioning treatment, a trim or a complete new-doo it will automatically boost your confidence sky high! I love getting my nails done at a salon. I mean it’s honestly one of the best things ever, and it does not have to be expensive. I am going to my local salon on Monday to get an OPI manicure for just £10 which is really cheap! And to get mynx its only £20! But if your salon is just too pricey, get your friends over or just your sister and do full manicures! Now for the tash! I hate my tash (don’t laugh we all have one). Girls don’t judge each other on tashes, since 90% of us have one, the only person judging is ourself. So get a waxing kit or a gel remover and get it off!

5. Get organised for your holiday! -1 week before your holiday and it’s time to start laying out the clothes you want to take and making sure you have all your beauty supplies. Make a check list of things you need before going to the mall and check all your supplies, if you are going on a flight, remember to bring a small deodorant, hand cream, concealer and conditioning lip gloss!

6. Change up your wardrobe! -Put away your baggy winter hoodies and fuzzy wuzzy scarfs and start shopping for your summer additions! I always buy a complete new summer wardrobe for my holiday. This is the average holiday checklist of stuff I’ll need for a 10 day holiday (remembering that I’ll buy stuff to wear on holiday!)

Check List of Summer Clothes

-x5 pairs of shorts

-x3 skirts

-x2 beach dresses or skirts

-x2 fancy dresses

-x4 vest tops

-x7 tops

-x3 pairs of pjs

(bare in mind that I’m a really messy person so on holiday I go through about 2 outfits a day)

But don’t worry if you don’t have enough money to buy a whole new wardrobe, there is still hope :P Sometimes I’ll forget to save up my money and will be afew items short, but by swapping some clothes your not taking on holiday with some clothes your friends aren’t wearing on holiday means that you’ll feel like you’ve got a new drobe but you haven’t spent a penny!

7. ***THIS IS AN IMPORTANT STEP*** Find your path to relaxation and instant calmness -This step is my savior! All you need to do is find something that will instantly calm you down. For my holidays I have purchased a relaxation cd which helps me relax, I’ve uploaded it do my phone and can listen to it whenever I feel myself getting stressed. Another tactic which I find helps alot is writing a random, happy sentence in a notepad over and over and over again untill it no longer makes in sense! It always cheers me up so much and I find it so funny when you can say something completely ridiculous without it meaning anything! You could also write a journal, sing the chorus of your favourite song over and over again or even plait your hair a gzillion times! I always find that repetitiveness calms me down alot :-) You need to be creative and try out all different tactics to find the one best suited for you!

-Goodluck

and happy holidays!

“Classy, not trashy!”

Fashion is fun, fashion is sweet, fashion is scary, fashion is beautiful but mostly, fashion is you!

I like to think of fashion as your overall make-up. If followed to your own taste, it helps to show off your amazing personality.

There is a difference between following a trend, and being a trend! Following a trend means picking out a current style that you like and dressing it up to suit yourself, however being a trend means to wear what other people are wearing not because you like it but because you might want to fit in or look ‘stylish’. Well, my little flowers, as long as you feel great, you look great!

Don’t get lost in a trend, you might not have anyway to find your way out!

Rules for Following a Trend…

-BE YOU!

-Remember the trend shows the essence of your personality, it DOES NOT change it!!!

-Always make sure you feel confident and good in whatever trend you are following.
